August 30th will mark the one year anniversary of Eye in the Blue Box's publication. Already a year. (Fun fact: I published Eye in the Blue Box on August 30th and started promoting it at 10:30PM that night to match the date and time that James was born into the Flowering. That's right! Both James and the book that introduces his story are August 30th, 10:30PM babies.)

To celebrate my literary baby turning one, I'll be releasing some new and special Eyes of Awakening materials leading up to the 30th. Today, I present to you the previously promised podcast episode on Tree of Eyes.

In this spoiler-ridden episode, Albert and I reveal more behind-the-scenes secrets of my Eyes of Awakening saga, including alternate scenes that didn't make the final cut. (I had originally planned on melting one of the characters in a vat of acid! You'll need to listen to find out which character escaped this ghastly fate.) We also discuss THAT chapter which reveals a certain character's painful past. This chapter has consistently proven to be among readers' favorite chapters out of the entire saga, and I dive deep into what, exactly, it took for me to write such an emotional story.

We hope you join us on what has proven to be one of our most personally meaningful episodes to date. Especially if you have struggled with trauma and/or abuse, we hope this episode will give you some comfort and encouragement. If you are supporting someone with a traumatic past, we hope our experiences can also give you some tips and tricks on how to understand and support your loved one further.

(P.S. If you haven't listened to our two episodes on Eye in the Blue Box, you can do so on Apple Podcasts.)

If the players above are not showing, here's the direct link to our Apple Podcast page as well as the link to our Spotify page. Tree of Eyes is Episode 7.

And of course, please buy my books if you haven't already! Amazon still has it slightly discounted, though not as much as before. So, if you want to jump on the sale, now's the time.

Please also remember to rate and/or leave a review for my books online.

Word of mouth is also key to an indie book's success.

Every sale, rating, review, and recommendation is pivotal in spreading the word about my books. I'm truly grateful for everyone who has shown me and my beloved literary babies so much love over the past year. Thank you again for all your support. It can be a struggle not to feel deflated when I compare myself to renowned authors, but whenever I read the reviews ya'll left my books or think about all the ways in which people have gone out of their way to support me in this past year alone, I feel encouraged. I may not have huge sales or hundreds of reviews, but I know that the people who support me truly support me and my work.

I'm blessed and I'm successful thanks to you guys.

Thank you again, and I hope you like the podcast episode.

Oh, and one last thing.

SPOILER-RIDDEN Book Signing and Author Meet & Greet for the WHOLE Eyes of Awakening saga!
