Thank you again to everyone who came to my author event on October 3! This event was for the entire Eyes of Awakening saga, and I had so much fun discussing behind-the-scenes details with everyone, especially the ones I knew the audience would find surprising. Did you know, for example, that real Korean shamans as well as traditional courtesan dances, like the seungmu dance, inspired the twelve Shamans in my books? I bet you didn't know, either, that E is associated with the ocean and Kit with the sky because together, they create tempests capable of obliterating everything in their path.
