I'm glad you found your way to this part of my website! I know this corner of my virtual home looks a bit gloomy at first. EYES OF AWAKENING books are all adult, dark fantasy novels after all.

But remember, darkness can be deceptive.

Some of the best things in life are found in the dark, and once you read my books, you'll find that everything from scarlet roses to friendly, blue wolves to a tree that blossoms eyes can bloom out of that dark, immaterial expanse which we call "imagination."

But enough philosophizing. Back to the books!

Believe it or not, Eye in the Blue Box: Book One of Eyes of Awakening and its sequel, which we'll call "Book 2" for now, were originally one, giant book, and I was quite set on selling it as one, giant book so I wouldn't leave my readers on a cliffhanger. But alas, self-publishing printers simply don't support a page count that high. Plus, when I saw how big the book would be, I realized that perhaps I'd be showing my readers mercy by splitting the book into two instead of forcing one gargantuan tome into everyone's arms. So, two separate books it was, and the original title of the giant book, Eyes of Awakening, became the title of the series as a whole.

If you enjoyed books like Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, The Neverending Story by Michael Ende, or The Lives of Tao by Wesley Chu, or movies like Mad Max (both Fury Road and Furiosa) or Logan, I'm willing to bet you'll like both of my books as well.

Why are you likely to enjoy my works if you liked the titles above? Why, because my books feature journeys through surreal, dream-like settings; a wide cast of characters, each whom go through their own growth arcs; and a lot of good old-fashioned, blood-splattering high-octane action. Beneath all the more spectacular and sensational elements, though, you'll find the central pillars upon which the story stands: themes of friendship, family, compassion, and self-discovery.
